FFCRA - Paid Leave and Exemptions

You may have been navigating the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and we wanted to make sure you were aware of the DOL’s requirements on this.

Please provide all of your employees information regarding their rights under FFCRA. You can rely solely on the poster as the source for employee information or could couple it with a memo. With all telecommuting employees and remote workers, it is okay to send this via email. We have attached the poster for your convenience.

Posting Requirements

You can also access this poster information here. In addition to emailing it to remote workers you must post it at each work location.

Small Business Exemption

Small businesses with fewer than 50 employees may qualify for exemption from the requirement to provide leave due to school closings or child care unavailability if the leave requirements would jeopardize the viability of the business as a going concern.
